best price for beauty and the beast?
This girl i kinda like dropped a hint that she really wants beauty and the beast(the disney version) on dvd and i figured i'd get it for her for christmas. I started looking just to see what kinda price i could find it for and came to the realization that it is out of print. Does anybody know any stores b&m or online that have it for a reasonable price, or is my best bet to head to eBay or other such places?

I agree Ebay would be a good place for this DVD.
Depending on what kind of B&M store you have near you, that might be another good choice too if they sell used DVDs. The Wherehouse (I believe most have become FYEs now or have stayed Wherehouses) sold my girl a perfect copy of Beauty and the Beast for 14.99 (no slipcase/used). We also saw one at another Wherehouse 15+ miles away with the slipcase for 19.99 (used). So definately check used stores.

I've seen a few of these at TWEC stores (FYE, Coconuts, etc.) but YMMV. It would be full retail there ($29.99). However, there's a $3 off $12.99 coupon for FYE that's floating around on DVDTalk.com. Also, they currently have a promotion where if you spend more than $25, you get a voucher for $10 off anything from 11/1/04 - 11/20/04.
I sold my extra copy on half.com for about $32.99 a month or so ago so it should be going for about that price there.

I just ordered a copy off of Half.com for 36 bucks including shipping. It was brand new in original packaging/region 1, etc.
I noticed that a lot of the ones on ebay were chinese versions or used.
