Received my orders of 24 and Simpsons late last week, and just wanted to say thanks again for the heads-up OP.
Started watching 24 this weekend, and so far, the show is living up to all the hype.

Ordered one of each set on the first day of sale - still awaiting shipping on any of them. Amazon's Delivery estimate is December 1, 2004 - December 9, 2004... looks like I'll be waiting a while :-(

I just found out that my Roswell set has two of the first disc and no 4th disc (there was a disc #1 in the disc #4 case). Amazon is sending a replacement and I have to send my current set back. It might be worth checking to see if you have the correct discs in your sets.

Fox does have a rep for crummy quality control on their box sets, I had almost forgotten about it myself since I haven't both a fox box for a while. Thanks for the reminder.

Someone may have mentioned this already, but didn't want to wade through all 18pages of the thread again to find it....
Where do we go to find out info on the 2nd wave of FOX discounts? Is it just a rumor at this point?
Thanks.

Everything is listed as "ships in 24 hours". I'm not sure what the backup is all about. My order for 24 and Millenium are in packaging phase or whatever with ETA of 11/6-12
I don't get it but at least I got in on the deal.

Just got my Roswell set.
I have a question: When they put a sticker on the package that says INCLUDES NEW CUTTING-EDGE SONGS SELECTED BY THE ORIGINAL ROSWELL MUSIC TEAM!. is that just the same as putting a positive spin on "WE COULDN'T AFFORD THE RIGHTS FOR THE ORIGINAL MUSIC"?

Yeah pretty much.
I've never watched the show so I don't really mind. I've read a lot of reviews though that praised the series for it's choice of music and how that's all down the toilet now.

There was an insert in the Roswell set detailing the music issue. The note said that they worked with the same team that picked the songs for the series originally. It says that the important songs are still there as well as the score.
Its a little slip of paper that is in the box between the discs.
I never watched the show when it was on either, but I knew the premise. I figured for $13.50, after STL, if I didn't like it, I could sell or trade it and come out ahead. But if its good, I can look for a deal on Season 2 which is out in stores.
