The Mystery Deal is Now Dead!

I just checked the website in question and it appears they found the mistake. The price is now corrected. Also I checked my order status and it no longer exists. Anyone else lose their order?

If it's dead, can you just tell everybody what the hell it was? The curiousity has just about killed this forum today.

What's funny is that if he'd just posted the title and price, only a handful of people would have jumped on it anyway...and the results would have been pretty much the same.

They may or may not have found the mistake. They just rolled out a new website, and they probably synced their prices with the coconuts.com site. A lot of their prices are different than they were yesterday, not just that one. That still doesn't explain why the orders were cancelled. Oh well, it could have worked.

Well, that's a relief. I was afraid it would be something I wanted.

Why post a deal you're not willing to share?
If I found a killer deal, I would:
* buy it first
then either
* post it to places I enjoy and where I have found deals;
or
*not talk about it at all

I guess you missed the recent misprice thread on the Bretts at Amazon. There would have been a swarm of bargain hunters trying to get a hundred dollar boxset for around $20 if the original poster didn't restrict the deal.

I agree w/ LASERMOVIES. Illennium had a noble goal. If there was any chance for this deal to go through, this was our best shot. Nice try, Illennium, better luck to us all next time.

BS.
Did you or not or your clique jump on the CC price error, Farscape error, & CC $10 off $50?
