For those who've seen it, how is the Beneath the Dome documentary thing?

If the STL discount is falling off of your order, an email or phone call to them will get you a credit back on your credit card.

It's kind of cute, in that This Is Spinal Tap kind of humor. I'm pissed as hell that becuse they cant get rid of the damn things, BB is "giving them away" as a bonus. I was hoping for something better.

Oh well, Costco, here I come. They'll have the best price for sure.

Well, the Best Buy stores are giving away an EXCLUSIVE Star Wars MAGAZINE.

Whoo!

(or you could get your DVDs elsewhere and buy their magazine for $4.99)

I take that the magazine will have a $4.99 price tag and will ring up free if purchased with the DVD boxset. After all, the magazine is exclusive and should only be available at BB, right?

Hi Randy,

The magazine is a Best Buy exclusive.

Like eau said, it'll ring up for $4.99 unless you buy the DVDs - then it's free.

I don't know how many they'll have, but I'm sure it'll be a lot.

I think I'll just go the FYE route.

Goto any FYE store and place a $5.00 deposit. Pick up the DVD on release day; send in the mail-in-rebate. Get the DVD for $38.00 total ($49.95 + tax - $15.00) (6% sales tax where I am at).

I would bet that some other B&M will meet or beat the $38.00 without a mail in rebate.

What I really can't believe is the prices its going for over on Ebay!
Yikes!

The kicker is going to be an average price and a good bonus like the book at Best Buy. Otherwise people will come in, buy the set, and walk out (assuming lines aren't bad)

Me, I got mine for 33.50 from Deep Discount DVD with the abberation 20% off coupon, so I don't care either way!
Maybe WE aren't gonna pick this up and something else, but most shoppers do.

Has anyone heard if Circuit City, Target, or other B&Ms will have 'exclusive' free stuff with the purchase of the Trilogy?

Won't that $49.95 go down come release...I don't think that is the set price, I think they will have a sale price on top, no?

Also, is the $5.00 deposit refundable?

Looks like that might be their first week price maybe.
I wonder who will go lower?

Target--$48.99 (web price)
Walmart--$41.88 (web price)
Fry's Outpost.com--$36.99 (web price)

Here's a pic of the cover of the magazine, along with a link if you want to just buy the mag itself.

at FYE? Price Drop?

not a chance in the world.

If anything:
A) The price will go up
B) The rebate amount will be less for non-pre-orders
C) Both A & B

Also, the DDD.com 20% off deal is a moot point for those that didn't get in on that deal. Therefore, it's not the best current deal or deal next week during release.

Ah, excellent. That wasn't up yet yesterday.

The magazine is pretty decent, actually. It's well worth the $5 even if you don't buy the DVDs there. But if you're planning on buying the mag anyway then it may make Best Buy the cheapest place to pick up the set.

Well BB will be $43 - 20% = $34.40 + tax. Not quite as good, but pretty darn close, and with the free magazine to boot!
