Watch out though, the Dazed and Confused SE is finally hitting shelves. If you are a big fan, it's probably the version you want. I can't imagine a much better fast times disc though, that's loaded with great stuff.

Those are both Anamorphic SE's with new 5.1 sound. The Dazed even has a new DTS track! Click on the second link. This is a sweet deal.

Yeah, Dazed and Confused is the new edition as is Fast Times. Thanks for clearing that up.
If anyone cares, Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore special edition (both anamorphic) are being released as a set for the same price (preorder for November)

I hope Billy Madison includes scenes from the T.V. version.

Be careful, there are two versions of the 2-pack, widescreen & pan-and-scan.
Can anyone verify that Fast Times will *not* contain the extra scenes from the TV version? (Only Dazed & Confused is listed as having deleted scenes.) This is at least the third version of Fast Times on DVD, and none of them have had the TV scenes. Grrr. Is this material available anywhere on DVD?

So is this just going to be the two regular releases packaged in a little box, or is it a second kind of packaging like a fold-out digipak that holds both?

During the Cameron Crowe commentary on the last Fast Times release, he mentions that he wanted to get a lot of extra footage for the DVD, but Universal had thrown it all away a few years back (in the time before DVDs).
