My trial is up tomorrow and I'm thinking of trying the cancellation so they'll bribe me into staying but my question is this:
What is the rate after the 6 months @15.99? Does it go back to the 17.99 based on the promo we signed up with or does it revert to the 19.99 regular membership rate?

I don't intend to stay with Blockbuster for more than 6 monts, so it doesn't matter what rate it reverted to -- their turnaround and selection still cannot complete with Netflix.

This is what I did. I went to www.cardgiver.com and signed up for the $50.00 Best Buy gift card. (Yes, I did receive the gift card about 3 week late) Signed up for the Blockbuster Online Rentals and cancled after 10 days. They sent me an email stating if you stay will us we will drop your monthly rate to $14.99 for the next six months. You all may want to try that. Better deal then what you are all looking at, plus a free $50.00 gift card.

Per http://www.dallasnews.com/s/dws/bus/...lix.30daa.html titled "Blockbuster undercuts Netflix prices":
<snip>
Blockbuster will allow online customers to order three movies at a time, with no late fees, for $17.49 per month, down from $19.99, chief executive John Antioco said Friday in a phone interview.
<snip>
Blockbuster will offer its new subscription price the week of Oct. 25. The price will still include coupons for two free in-store movie rentals a month, but those coupons will also count toward free video-game rentals, Mr. Antioco said. Blockbuster will also begin giving subscribers discounts on new and used movies and games, he said.

I think it will revert to the regular membership 19.99 or whatever the new regular rate will be.

Is anyone else having difficulty with Blockbuster online rentals - I can't seem to get through on their 800 number and they are not answering emails.
Blockbuster seldom seems to ship the rental selections at the top of my queue even though shown as available. I generally seem to get rental selections from farther down on my queue.
Additionally, I've been having a hard time removing unwanted selections from my queue. Yesterday, this caused two rental selections to be shipped that I had separately purchased - selections I didn't want or need, but couldn't delete from the queue.
I tried another 800 number (for online purchases) but all I got was a run around. Can't help, don't have access to the rental system, sorry for the inconvenience, etc., etc.
I think I'll stick with Netflix.

But if they could improve the selection, and especially add some Criterions their site could give Netflix some stiff competition.
To do so, click "Contact Us" --> "Online Rentals" then fill in the blanks and select "Request a Movie Title"

As far as problems removing unwanted selections from the queue... I never have such problem.

I just got a confirmation from BBV, but nothing from cardgiver.com
How do they know where to send the gift card, etc?
