K-Mart Ad for the week of 8/22 (Many $5 DVDs)

Other than DVDs at 19.99 in the ad,

-5 DVDs for $20:
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets (SE, WS)

Spy Game (WS)
Jurassic Park 3 (WS)
AI: Artificial Intelligence (2-Disc SE)

*These 4.99 titles are from Jim-Mor who does the 4.99 sales at K-Mart and Wal-Greens. Your store while likely have these out now, and every store has a different selection. Your best bet is to try and price match this ad. *

-Apprentice Season 1: $34.99

-Universal Titles for $9.99:
8Mile
Minority Report
American Pie
Catch Me If You Can
American Pie 2
Road To Perdition
Jurassic Park
The Mummy Returns

5 DVDs for $20. Wouldn't that be $4 DVDs instead of $5 DVDs as stated in the title of this thread? Just wondering. I thank you for the deal, OP.

I actually didn't even pick up on that. I assume since the OP has $4.99 in the post a couple times, maybe he meant 5 for $25?

Either way, excellent deal.

Can you just get one DVD for $5 or is it a bundle of 5 DVDs for $25?

I was wondering the exact same thing. I already own 2 of them (Jurassic Park 3 and Spy Game). I would be interested in buying the Harry Potter and AI DVD's.

And how would other competitors price match this? Would be require you to buy all 5 or how many you actually want to buy?

My Wal-Mart allows you to buy just one when pricematching 2 for $5 grocery deals. I've never tried it with DVDs, though.

To answer a few ?'s here,

-The DVDs are normally priced for $4.99, if you go in right now to any K-Mart, they will be $4.99. For the week of 8/22, they are going to be 5 for $20. I'm not sure if you need to actually buy 5 or not to actually get the sale price. So the sale is like buying 4 of these DVD at $4.99 and getting one for free. Sorry for the confusion.

-It's not a bundle. It's regular DVDs, but you get 5 for $20. The variety will vary by store, this is what was advertised though.

As always, YMMV.

I stopped by the K-mart in Mentor, OH today looking for Harry Potter and AI. AI was marked $9.99 and they only had fullscreen. HP was nowhere to be found. Looks like I'm price matching on Sunday.

If one wants to pricematch the ad prices it can't be done until 8/22.

Does anyone have this ad yet? I'm curious if it actually shows specific titles in the ad. If so, I'll definitely be price matching.

I have the ad. The titles they show are the same as the titles the original poster mentioned.

Anyone find anything at your K-Marts? And if you did do you have to buy all 5 to get the deal or can you just buy 1 for $4.

I went today and they didn't have Harry Potter I did get the following though.
The Blob
Mask of Satan
My Big Fat Greek Weeding (shudder) it is for my wife and I gave her hell the entire time for buying it.
and 2 anime titles that I can't recall now that I am typing this and I am to lazy to go look. They didn't have AI, Spy Game or Jurrasic Park. All of the titles are 4.99 so if you just want one then it shouldn't be a problem.

I went to the KMart in Clinton Maryland today. Not only did they not have the listed titles, the titles that they did have for sale are all regularly priced at $4.99 for a savings of .99 a movies. This is the classic bait and switch and I will be complaning to the distict manager tomorrow. The movies that they listed in the flyer all retail in the $15-$20 range but they don't have any of them so the try to push off the crappy $5.00 movies cause we just happen to be there. That is BullSh**. And they did have the Harry Potter movie on the shelf but it was fullscreen so it wasn't counted as the same movie which is more BS.

P.S. I went to CC and price matched with no problem. Got 5 movies for 17 and change with their pricematch guaranty. Got to love CC and KMart SUCKS.
