Just got it in the mail 8/23.

As per the UPS tracking site, mine arrived this morning from buy.com. However, I won't know the condition until I get home from work. Still, for the price, you can't beat it!

Hmm...I still haven't goten it and it says Pre-order under my status.

I just talked with their "live" online service (couldn't get them on the phone) and they said this item is pre-order and wouldn't be available until Aug 24.

What's up with that?

Hats off to pensfan for this awsome deal. Have been looking for this for my gf for awhile. I ordered mine from bestprices.com on 7/20/04, but mine still says pre-order. Has anyone's been shipped that ordered that after this date? Should I cancel the order and try again? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I placed my order 7-23-04 and I am also sitting on "pre-order" status. I wouldn't worry about it at this point. I am sure they will honor the price they have quoted us. We just need to be PATIENT.

My 2 sets (makes a great gift) shipped from bestprices on 7-22 & just arrived today. Strangely, one set has a $39.99 price sticker dated 10/28/03 on it & the other has a new bar code sticker under the plastic seal covering up the old UPC (the last 2 digits are changed from a 48 to a 24).

I'm in the same situation with my order placed on 7/22. I think Bestprices probably sold out of their current stock and when more arrive will ship the remaining orders. However, the site does indicate a release date of August 24, which could mean no further orders will ship until around that time. I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as the order remains open.

Mine arrived while I was on vacation last week. Too cool, can't wait to watch!!

I just noticed that they changed the price of this to 28.40. of course I am willing to bet that I will not get this at the 14.77 price since I had to change my CC to a different card since the card I used was stolen and is no longer valid. they will probably tell me that they had trouble authorizing the new card or something.

I got an email today that it shipped 2 days ago. I have no clue if I was charged the 14.77 or what since the charge hasn't shown up on my CC yet.

I've ordered it a month ago, and it still hasn't shipped. I guess they're re-releasing this with the newer, more expensive price, on August 24th. However, some people are getting theirs shipped now, and I have not received an email regarding my order being shipped, and it obviously says the status of my order is "open".

I'm not too worried, but I was feel like I get left out! ha!

Ordered 7/24 and arrived today.

I got my notice notice today, also. It said it shipped yesterday, in one part of the notice, and today in another part of the shipping confirmation.

Either way, I'm happy. I don't remember if they charged me a while ago, or if they did now. (Checked my checking account online, and I -- sadly -- would probably get charged an overdraft fee, 'cause I don't have enough to cover. (I'm a poor Grad Student, so these moments come too often for me.)
