I picked up my copy today. No hassles. I think this really depends on the person working there. When I tried to order this back then, the first time I was denied by a lady working there. Next time I tried, a guy let me buy it and was pretty chill. Picked it up today, and the guy was cool also.

I think you're right. I unfortunately picked the time when the manager happened to be there - & she was the one who waited on me. Double wammy!!

The previous time w/SD, I got a regular clerk & although she noticed the discrepency, she gave it to me with no hassle/questions. Like they're suppose to!!!!!

The BvB I ordered mine from didn't even bother to order the box for me or my friend who ordered one. I got them to re-order it, so we'll see what happens. I still have my reciept, paid in full.

I noticed that the May 17 issue of VB (page 19) lists Voyager Season 3 as having a price of 39.94, pre-book beginning 5-25 with a release date of 7-6.

Do you suppose we'll get a repeat of this delightful episode?

I'm willing to try seeing how well it worked for season 2 at my local BB

What, may I ask, is VB? And, I don't think I can stomach another episode of this.

Sorry, VB is Video Business, a weekly periodical aimed at retailers.

They do have a website although you may have to sign up for access.

Ok, I see what you're referring to. However, BBV already has S3 of Voyager listed on their website for $110+. The last time w/S2, it wasn't there yet. Probably won't happen this time.

That's curious information about the VB ad. I will have to go to my Blockbuster and see if they have a listing yet for season three. Of course, I will post what I find out. I don't think this will happen again, however. Ingram obviously got more orders for season two than any other seasons of these shows (more than likely) and that probably raised a red flag, and some of you already contacted DMs about this, who no doubt took the matter one step further and tracked down the source of the error and likely fixed it.

So how many here who have paid in full still haven't gotten their set yet?

i called them on tuesday (when it was released) and they said that they never get it on time, you usually have to wait a few days. Give them a call and see if they actually ordered it to begin with.

Yeah, I saw saw it.

I wasn't very serious or hopeful when I made my previous comment.

One thing though, the titles on pages 18 - 19 are on a list that is intended to provide "key data for ordering product" while the ad on 21 is just a blurb in the creepy crawlies special section.

Wouldn't mind a repeat of the deal, though

did they reorder the boxset at 27.99 or 124.99?

i have that same thing happen to me, the manager didnt bother special order it for me, i keep asking her to fill out the special order form, but she never did. so when i try to pick it up, it didnt show up in their system. she told me that she can reorder it for me, but it would be $124.99 and not 27.99. that why i am trying to contact the dm and tell me my side of the story and see what he can do about it.

It never went as far as price. I just had him reorder it for me. I'll deal with that part when it comes in. I -should- be okay since when I bought it I had the manager write "paid in full" on the reciept, but we'll see...

Same situation for me. Checked again today & supposedly it's been reordered. My receipt printout says "$1 due at time of delivery". We'll see what happens next week.

at least your manger reorder it for you, but my anal manager refuse to reorder the set at 27.99, she only reorder it if i agree to pay the 124.99.

I did some checking around to various stores today....looks like Star Trek Voyager Season Three is offically priced in Blockbuster's computers at.....are you all ready for this.....

189.99.

I shit you not.

The first store I checked at took forever to find it in their computer so I asked the clerk for the part number and told him I was going to call around to check other BB's because I thought it had to be a mistake. So, for those curious, the part number for season three is 894874.

And as for where I checked, I checked at various stores (got some numbers off their website), including Nebraska, Oklahoma, Missouri, California, and Florida.

I might have to call that corporate 800 number posted previously and inquire about this price. I understand BB doesn't want a repeat episode with season three, but to raise the price that much more above and beyond SRP is ludicrous.

Oh, I did have one clerk confirm that the MSRP in the computer was 26.99 for season three, but Blockbuster was pricing it at 189.99.

I have a weird situation.

My local BB stopped taking special orders after I got in on this deal. I went to pick it up and was told it didn't come in and that they would have to refund my money.

I said I didn't want a refund, I wanted my movie. So I was offered the difference between their current price on it at their website and what I paid for it, in store credit.

I'm wondering if I can use the store credit for anything worthwhile, especially since they won't special order anything.

Use the credit to buy PVDs. That would probably make them competitive with HWV's 20% off gift-cards and their current 3 for 25.
