Thank You Starlights.
This day will be remembered by every American.
It has a special significance for New Yorkers, myself included.
I can still remember gettin' out of my morning meeting at 8:45 AM and watching everything unfold out of my office window. That day was pure chaos but it showed the true hard of Americans.

I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand the Labor Dept. offers a tribute to the workers, while on the other the EPA is pressured by the White House (i.e. GWB) to lie about the air quality at Ground Zero.
FYI, I lived less than two miles from the WTC on 9/11. For months afterwards, there was the smell of burnt metal.
(The relevant quote: "Cahill's comments echo a report issued in August by the EPA inspector general, an internal watchdog on the agency. The inspector general concluded that under White House influence, the EPA issued misleading assurances that there was no health risk from air pollution after the attack.")
