An Event Horizon sequel is finally coming... as a comic book

Apologies, I read the headline and reacted. I'd delete this if I could.

Before anyone gets excited without reading the OP/link, it's a comic book "sequel"

Which for my taste, doesn't count as a sequel, if it's a completely different medium.

All the junk “content” they spend money on … just let them make this. Big studios are being bought for accounting purposes. Like, what are we doing here?

That’s my pitch. Then I call them “babe” and put my feet up on their desk and smile.

Maybe it should be moved to Book Talk until there's news of a filmed sequel.

But if Paul W.S. Anderson were to direct who would he ever find to be the lead?!

I’m torn. If Paul WS Anderson or Phillip Eisner wrote it, I’d consider it pretty “official.” But at the same time if they ever got a second movie off the ground I wouldn’t think they need to adhere to what happened in the comic.
