Planet of the Apes back at Marvel starting in 2023

This news should come as no surprise due to Disney acquiring Planet of the Apes during the Fox deal. This will certainly lead to the reprint of the Curtis magazines and the Apes comic series from the 70’s. Unfortunately, this will also lead to the series of the Apes vs Star Trek and the one vs the Green Lanterns released by Boom last decade to go out of print

I’ve considered getting into this just to have some new Apes material. I’m most interested in the classic stuff being reprinted.

Yeah, I really hope they do nice reprints of the 70s b&w magazines, those were great.

The Star Trek/Planet of the Apes crossover was surprisingly good.

An omnibus of Marvel's color 1970s Apes comics is coming:

I remember reading that and actually hearing the actor's voices in my head as I read.

Is there an omnibus of that?

I assume Planet of the Apes is getting a little push because I hear murmurs of the next movie's development. An approved script has been circulating in executive circles.

It was just five issues, and got a trade paperback.

Anyone remember the Planet of the Apes animated tv series along with the tv series?

I still haven't gotten around to watching the animated series, but I love the live action series. It's criminal how short lived it was.

Planet of the Apes/X-MEN crossover would be interesting.

Yes, I have both TV shows on DVD, watched parts of both of them. I remember the animated one starts out pretty grim, some visuals of humans bound to wooden Xs, like crucifixions almost.

The 70’s PotA TV series took place in a different universe from the movies because the humans could speak. I’m pretty sure it followed more the books.
