No surprise. And you all know the reason why.

Theres no cons this year, why did they wait this long?

I would bet it’s because they can now recoup some of their expenses from insurance.

Ah thats right. I heard about cons waiting to do just that.

I believe NY still had the quarantine for like two weeks if you came from certain states, so hopefully everyone who was planning on coming saw the writing on the wall and cancelled early themselves.

Yeah, events are getting canceled late because of insurance and probably contractual stuff involving things like deposits, too.

In the early days of the pandemic, musicians weren't canceling their concerts and tours because they had to wait until the venues canceled them due to mandatory shut-downs, because if the artists voluntarily canceled, their insurance wouldn't cover them.

The promoters probably also had a deposit down with the facility and they needed to act now before losing it.

It's understandable they had to cancel. No mass gatherings are going to be allowed anywhere until a vaccine is approved and ready to use. And no one wants to attend a fucking con wearing masks and not being able to get autographs, not do cos play and need to social distance. It won't work and will make a shitty experience.

Reedpop has been selling the exclusives to the show on their site. Was able to get the Black Widow Glow in the Dark cover and the JTC Luke Star Wars cover. Other cool stuff still available.

I missed out on the JTC comic, which I really wanted! But I did get the Batman 1000 Jock Variant, non virgin cover. Good merch to be had.
