Cracked Magazine. Any fans of the old Cracked magazine?
Just wondering if anyone else besides me where they were just a little kid in the 1980s and at the time Cracked Magazine was your first funny magazine or did you also get into Mad Magazine a little bit where theyd poke fun at Return of the Jedi alot?

Cracked was my favorite of the three (Mad and I think Crazy was the other one) when I was a kid in the early 80s. I just liked the artwork and humor better at the time.

I bought a used Crack from the late 80s a year or so back. It did not hold up.
As a kid, I would usually buy Cracked when I was jonesing between issues of Mad.

I was a Cracked subscriber back around 1980, and liked it better than Mad, Sick, or Crazy. One thing they did that was cool was using tiny print in the art of subscription ads, with the tiny print being the names of subscribers. I found my name at least once.

I collected all the Don Martin Cracked issues to go along with my Mad hardcover of Don Martin. I don't know who owns the rights, but I figured they were never going to put together something like Mad did.

I bought a few random Cracked in the 80's. I remeber having one that spoofed Knight Rider. I remeber Michael Knight opens the passenger side door to K.I.T.T. and all this trash and empty soad cans start falling out on the road and there's a sign with an arrow pointing toward the trash that said "kitty litter". My friend saw that and he couldn't stop laughing for 30 minutes.
I think my favorite spoof was on the back cover of Mad Magazine. It said this is what a Norman Rockwell painting would look like if he were alive today. They used the one with the little girl that was walking in a hallway at her school holding books and they added a metal detectors and a teacher was wanding her with another weapon checker device.

Back then in 1983 or at least 1984 when I was a little kid, I thought Mad magazine had the better humor with poking fun at Return of the Jedi.
I just dont remember what issues of Cracked I even had when I was a kid back then but I do still remember my parents getting me a few issues of Cracked from the newsstand rack at the time.

When Batmania II hit with the first Burton film, I was buying up anything with Batman and found this:
There was a Mad Magazine spoofing Batman but that weird looking kid Alfred E.Neuman looked too creepy.
The Cracked version was awesome. The majority of it was featuring Batman parodies, even spoofing the Batman black and white serials.
The only other one I bought was when Spider-man was on the cover. It was a good magazine though with good art.

I remember Cracked as a kid growing up in the '80's. I never thought it was that funny; it seemed like a watered-down & poor man's versions of Mad - which I found much funnier & a far superior magazine.

I was really into monster magazines as a kid. I'd pick up the occasional Cracked or Mad depending on the cover. I seem to remember Cracked had a lot of Frankenstein covers.
I'd also buy Archie's Madhouse all the time because Frank and other monsters were on the cover. Same with DC'S Bob Hope comic.

I never bought an issue but I would read them as a kid at the magazine stand while I waited for my mom to finish grocery shopping. The back covers of the Mad magazines on the stand were always folded to form a picture. I remember Cracked was funnier than the other titles.
