Telepath, motherfucking Superman, and the smartest man in the world. Who gives a shit out about an enforcer when you have Superman and Prof X?

Though I could swap Black Widow for Hawkgirl if I need to use the full $15...

My first thought was that one would have to choose Superman no matter what. He's simply too powerful, and any team without him could be beaten by a team with him. Not that this is necessarily a team battle thing....

But then I see Wonder Woman in his category, ridiculously undervalued at $2 and think that perhaps that extra $3 could come in handy.

Superman can fly. Wonder Woman can't.

If you want someone who can fly, you need either Supes, Shazam, or Thor fom "muscle." The only other flyer is Iron Man.

In that case, I'd go with WW and Iron Man, but I'd rather have Reed on my team than Tony.

Looking at tne list of leaders, Prof X sems like the obvious choice since the other four are only human, with the exception of Cap, and even then, he's nowhee in the league of others on the other categories.

I thought Wonder Woman can fly?

Not sure why Cap is five bucks. I get he's a great leader but Batman has plot armor like nobody else.

Also Punisher at four bucks? Nobody is picking him or Cyborg at that price.

I don't get why Superman is considered that much stronger than Shazam?

The price figures look a little screwy to me like the creator wanted people to have Captain Marvel (Shazam) and Cable on everyone's team. Wolverine and the Punisher are overpriced. Thinking about it, the entire Enforcer category should have been rewritten. Hawkgirl should have been more expensive than Black Widow and Cable should have probably been in the $4 or $5 slot.

Wonder Woman does fly these days. It wasn't in her original power set but in DC's infinite wisdom they added it recently, mostly so she could be more of Superman's equal.

Here's my five: Mr. Fantastic, Cable, Batman, Superman, Deadpool

I'm not sure the chemistry is perfect on my team but I really wanted Mr. Fantastic on it. I was close to flipping Mr. Fantastic with Black Panther, which would have enabled me to trade Deadpool for Green Lantern.

I know you're immortal or something, Stranger, but I'm pretty sure WW could fly when Perez rebooted her after the original Crisis. That was more than 30 years ago, I assume so that she wouldn't have to put up with the invisible jet, until Byrne brought that back too.

Depending on which Cable you got, you could go Cable, Shazam, and Mr. Fantastic for 5 bucks, but then Spider-Man and Cap aren't worth spending the max for (I would easily take the second or third option in both their categories over them).

Ok power-wise I'd go with:
Prof X - 3 - telepathy
Shazam - 1 - cheaper than Superman, similar power set, plus some immunity to magic
Wolverine - 5 - had to spend the points somewhere, plus he can kill almost anyone
Mr Fantastic - 3 - can Deus ex Machina up anything you need
Green Lantern - 3 - just chuck Hal to the side and give the ring to Reed

Never says you have to pick from all five categories.

Batman
Superman
Iron-Man
Cable

I'll just take Deadpool and Wolverine(Laura). I don't like any of the other characters.

I know they're not on the list, but I'm going to pick the entire Doom Patrol, because Grant Morrison is awesome.

Imagine Professor X mind-controlling the Flash. He'd be pretty much unstoppable.

So I say Prof X - Wonder Woman - Wolverine - Mr. Fantastic - the Flash

If there isn’t a rule of one character from each category, think I’d just take the entire muscle category. They have enough intelligence and leadership in there to be pretty unstoppable.

When building a superhero team these days, you need someone well-versed in time travel like the Flash or Cable.

Captain America - A legit leader, fought and led soldiers in WWII. 5
Thor - Muscle, tenacity, flight, a killer weapon. 3
Black Widow - Great fighter, stealthy, great at covert ops. 3
Mr. Fantastic - Beyond his power, he's a brilliant scientist and technician/inventor. 3
Shazam - I've got a dollar left over, and I didn't see the rules stating that we can't have two from the same category...
