Star Wars Comic Books and where to buy?
I wanted to pick up the 2015-present Star Wars comic books for my son but I honestly have no idea what a fair price is or where to find them. He'd be reading these so they don't need to be mint. Any ideas where I could find a reputable online dealer or should I just try to track them down thru a local B&M store?

If digital is an option, they've pretty much all been $1 each during Comixology sales, and the standard 1/2 price several times a year Marvel sales there will enable you to always keep up.
As to physical copies, I've seen a few in dollar bins, but not many. Besides checking local stores, mycomicshop.com has generally fair pricing, and often has lower condition copies.

Thanks Trevor... I'll check out that site. I'm looking for physical copies... something he can take and read on the go and I'm not a fan of the kids always having to carry around a tablet.

Do you need the actual comics or are collections ok? They'd be easier to find, easier for him to read, etc.

14 bucks for the first six issues, 2 bucks if you have an iPad or something and don't mind digital. Slightly cheaper for physical at instocktrades but you have to order over 50 bucks worth or pay for shipping.

Trade paperbacks are the best option for kids. The tactile experience is key to hooking them on comics. It also makes them retro cool with their friends since none of them have ever seen a real book before.

They also just released the first oversized hardcover of the series, which is the same content as the first two TPBs.

I don't know if you were just talking about the main Star Wars series, but the ongoing Darth Vader comic is also essential reading. It and the main Star Wars comic often tie together in such a way that they can be read independently, but if read together, it forms a much richer story. (Aside from that, I surprisingly found that I'm enjoying Darth Vader more than Star Wars.)
