I never redeem them. I'm too neurotic to pull the sticker off the Marvel ones because it'll suddenly make them less-than-Near Mint to me.

I sometimes remember to redeem them. Sometimes I might prefer not to have them cluttering up my online collection. Also, can't wait until someone comes in and says they just scan all the codes in some oblivious LCS.

I didn't try them all, but looks like a lurker took them without giving thanks or stopping others from wasting their time.

So long as someone enjoys the codes; although the community here is nice I've done my share of lurking in various places so can't complain about that. I assume the 14 post digital comic codes section of a DVD website is a fairly odd place to attract many lurkers so if nothing else that's a level of dedication I can appreciate.

There's nothing wrong with lurking, and even not giving thanks isn't all that bad, since I'm sure most of us here don't post helpful things for the thanks.

But taking the codes and not saying they're gone, thereby causing potentially multiple people to waste several minutes or more each, is a really shitty thing to do.

You underestimate the determination of people looking for free stuff.

Back when Nintendo had a beta demo thingy of Super Smash Bros for the 3DS, I went on twitter and tweeted at 3 friends of mine that I had invite codes. Less than 10 seconds after I tweeted that, I got over 50 tweets from random people I have never spoken to before asking me for a code.
