Most valuable non-DC/Marvel comic books?

Going back to the 1930's per decade-what comic books are of interest to collectors that aren't either DC or Marvel/before they were Marvel? Anything rare that had a limited publishing?

For more recent books, the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Walking Dead issues are up there.

For the 1940's, I'd say the first Whiz Comics with Captain Marvel.
