Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
A new Marvel collection sale started today (last night at 2300 as always), this one lasting until 5/5/14 on five Spider-man collections for $3.99 each. I'm tempted by the Masterworks one.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
The Marvel Monday is on the supposedly complete House of M. The eight issue mini plus all the crossovers and postlude, for 64 floppies total. They have it as a bundle on the website only for a slightly cheaper $59.99, but many of us already own nine or so from the #1s freebie.
Anyone recommend this? I guess I'll read issue one today at least. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
The four biggish earlier sales are all ending today. I've already bought the Saga issues from the Image Eisner sale, but perhaps I'll get the other series too.
I'm super tempted to pick up the Invincible bundle, and the complete run of Invisibles even though I own many of the floppies/trades. I'm even tempted by the Warlord of Mars stuff. My name is Trevor, and I'm a digital hoarder. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I know some of you prefer to buy on the website to support creators more, but it is worth mentioning that Staples has $50 itunes gift cards on sale for $40 today and tomorrow in store. I picked up one today, but unfortunately they had a limit of one, so I will have to go back later or tomorrow to pick up another one or two.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Tomorrow's sales include a week long one from DC called Secret Origins. It includes 83 books total; series like Batman: Year One, Superman Birthright, JLA Year One, etc

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
From Image is a three day sale on Great Pacific, 12 singles and 2 collections.

Has there been a New 52 99 cent Batman sale yet? I got the first trade cheap digitally and I've been waiting to pick up the rest during a sale, but haven't seen one yet. I know they did an Action Comics sale.

You would think this would be a sale on their issue 0's from the new 52, since most if not all of these Origins are not really valid anymore (some great reads, though, just confusing for newbies).

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
One day freebie bundle and sale at Dark Horse on The Massive. First four issues are free, and a 1-22 bundle is $10.
I had never heard of it, but just read the first issue and it's good enough to keep reading. Just wanted to get the word out now since it expires soon. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Read some more of The Massive and am really enjoying it.
Looks like no new sales or bundles today; good, my wallet needs a break. I did find one new freebie; something from Alterna Comics called Complex. The first issue is free, and I like what I've read of it. It may be a Kickstarter book. The trade collecting issues 1-5 is only $3.99, not sure if that is the regular price or an unmentioned sale. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Does the site ever have a general purpose coupon or a full site sale?

Looks like nothing new today.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Big weekend sale at Darkhorse for their three year anniversary. Friday through Sunday everything is 50% off, with an additional 10% off code for their newsletter subscribers.
I'm sure I won't be able to resist a large order or three. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
You and me both. I hope I didn't unthinkingly delete the newsletter if it already got sent out.

EDIT TO ADD: Hopefully it comes tonight or tomorrow, the last newsletter is from the 11th and no mention of the anniversary sale. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
The current Superior Spider-Man sale is kind of confusing. 22 issues of Superior Spider-Man, four issues of Superior Team Up, and six issues of Superior Foes for 99 cents each. Or $70 for a bundle of 34 items.
$70 as a bundle or $34 individually. Why would anyone pay for the bundle? |

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
They've added at least four trades to the Marvel Collections sale, not sure when it's ending.
A couple Nova: Annihilation books, Spider-man: Big Time, and an Age of Apocalypse trade are mostly $1.99. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
From IDW there is a Transformers: Dark Cybertron sale, 25 singles at 99 cents each, ending the 27th. Also available as a bundle at $19.99.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I think i'll pick up Age of Apocalypse on Amazon.

I'm tempted to get a literal ton of bundles, but will try to limit it to the "essentials" like Concrete, Nexus, and perhaps some B.R.P.D. |
