Some nice ComiXology sales, including MMWs for $1-2 and Star Wars Epics for $4. A lot of Valiant for $0.99 too.

Same deal at Amazon for the digital versions of these Marvel Masterworks. A pain in the ass to find all the ones that are on sale though.

Finding anything on Amazon is a pain. Why not just purchase it via Comixology? If the account is linked, it should be marked as purchased on both systems.

I often buy on Amazon to take advantage of the digital credits for choosing slower shipping.

Haven't heard of that. How do you get digital credits?

Just choose slower shipping on physical products you buy from Amazon. The deal doesn’t always appear, but some of us have accumulated hundreds of dollars of credit over the years.

Not sure how to find an easy link on GooglePlay, but all 36 of these Viz series have the first volumes free at GooglePlay.

ComiXology's website will finally be merged into Amazon on February 17 (it already has been in the UK FYI):

ComiXology Disappears From Web On February 17th? App & Amazon Only (bleedingcool.com)

This note is especially interesting:

Yeah, I found the DRM section especially annoying, since it means they can keep the DRM-free option available, but just choose not to. I won't be buying any DRM-ed books, so for me the move means no more digital comic purchases.

I'm not a user of Comixology (tried it many years ago with a bunch of freebies they were offering and didn't really care for it), so I can't say for myself, but judging by what I'm reading online, it's pretty unanimous that everyone hates the new Kindle-based Amazon Comixology experience.

The whole new Comixology release has been a complete clusterfuck to say the least. Patton articulates exactly what is wrong with it in thai thread

I'll disagree with one thing Patton said. He said the old app was "perfect". The old app wasn't perfect and that's what makes this all the more disappointing. This was all opportunity to IMPROVE on the few things that the old app didn't do well. Instead we got exactly what we all expected when this transition was first announced. I can't even fathom why the changeover took as long as it did, because they literally did nothing but dump everything into the already half-assed Kindle app.

The CMX app still works fine on my iPad, and I don’t think I lost any books as some people have reported. I really dislike the new shopping experience, though. The organization is confusing, it suggests I buy stuff I already own, and other annoyances.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I checked out the new Comixology, and my big worry was the reading experience would be borked, but that seemed fine. The organization and ability to find books sucks, though.
