The 'spreadsheet of Humble/Groupees/Story bundles' link at the top of the forum doesn't seem to be valid anymore. Is there an updated link?

Current codes for Marvel BOGO (Marvel19) and Dark Horse 50% off (DH50) stack with existing sales.

Anyone else?

Still working for me, but maybe it’s just cached on my device.

Not sure who maintains it, got it from another forum iirc.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Dark Horse released a new edition of The Mask Omnibus that's scanned in higher definition than the original one but with the same content (at least handled this way on Comixology), as a result they're de-listed the original item so it doesn't come up in searches but if you previously purchased it you can manually dig through your library to access. That seems bogus. There is a 1 page difference between editions and I would have liked to think when there is a quality upgrade it would apply to previous purchases.

That doesn't sound fair at all to people who purchased the original, I hope they remedy this.

There’s a pretty good Jeff Lemire Humble Bundle going on. I’m surprised it doesn’t include Essex County, since that’s been in seemingly every Humble Bundle ever.

EDIT: I guess I missed it, Essex County is included.

Sadly, most of the CBZ files offered in the bundle, especially the Dark Horse ones, which are really terrible, are sub-par and in disappointing quality. Strange that by now the industry doesn't have any standard quality definitions.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

On Comixology there is a 50% off Marvel comics sale until June 7th no coupon required for Comixology Unlimited members. It stacks with routine rotating sales for some pretty great deals.
It even applies to pre-orders.
However, for full price items, since the standard 15% Comixology Unlimited discount does not apply (it's 50%) there could potentially be better sales down the road if Marvel runs an open to all coupon code allowing for CU discount to stack with Buy One Get One Free (or 50% off).

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I wish DC would run more frequent single issue sales on Comixology; their current trade Memorial Day sale is stellar with some epic deals but when they discontinued digital codes I have 2 New Super-man issues missing and not worth buying a trade for. I'm still missing some New 52 era singles from The Flash and Batman.

Any suggestions? I'm definitely more DC than marvel guy. I bought Dial H and Marshall Law (I have the first few print issues but never finished the series). Tempted by before watchmen but heard varying opinions.
I'm really enjoying Comixology Unlimited. Well with the six bucks a month for me.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

That digital sale came in handy, so I got all of the "Batman Who Laughs" issues. The first three were .84 cents each with my comixology discount and the last two issue were $4.24 each. I also snagged Batman: Grim and that was also .84 cents, so basically I paid what came out to $1.97 for each of those single issue. I saw that Hoopla has the entire Batman: Metal books, so those will be free to read, etc.

Look into the DC streaming service if you don't care about anything too recent. They've added a ton of comics to the service in the past few months.

Yeah, I'm subbed to DCU and while I have read a few comics on there (kinda cool on the TV), I haven't gotten real deep. But I haven't browsed since they expanded their collection, I need to do that. I'm not current - the last thing i read on DCU was Formerly Known as the Justice League :)
Thanks!

Is this the first year in which the publishers didn't put their free books from FCBD on Comixology or Amazon?

Which ones? Searching for “Free Comic Book Day 2019” turned up 33 titles:

Thanks for the link. I was looking at the Free area, where they usually post the FCBD ones.

Which free area? The main free area rarely changes and doesn’t get too many of the FCBD books.

The daily free page has periodic additions and has slowly accumulated those ~30 books. I think that this is the most of the usual yearly ~50 that have ever made it to Comixology.

Was checking on the main free area mostly and when I typed FCBD, only one new book came up in my search.

There's a Kodansha Humble Bundle that gets you a ton of stuff, including Attack on Titan volumes 1-20 and Vinland Saga (which I highly recommend) 1-10 for 20 bucks (highest tier):

It doesn’t help that ComiXology and the publishers are inconsistent about titling them “FCBD” or “Free Comic Book Day.” The site is also not the easiest for searches. E.g., you need the hyphens to find Marvel Two-in-One.

Some of the freebies are only free short term (not the FCBD books of course), so checking the three freebie links in the wiki every few days will make sure you never miss anything.
