Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Cross posting this from the digital forum (DC Universe is the name of the streaming platform that will have the Young Justice cartoon and the Teen Titans live action show, among other things):
Re: WB to launch DC streaming service -- DC Universe So a DC employee was on, of all things, a podcast that talks about Bond girls (James Bond, not whatever sick thing you guys are thinking), and at the end she reveals that DC Universe will launch in late August (she thinks), and that it will be a "hub for all things DC" and will, most importantly of all (if true), "we're going to have a lot of comics on there." 1:27:30 of this podcast: https://www.earwolf.com/episode/epis...ith-dani-snow/ |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I just hope it is around the price of Marvel Unlimited. Don't care about the movies or television series. I only want the comics.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Not sure how long this has been but I noticed recently Marvel trades are no longer routinely half off on Amazon. Hopefully we get another 80% off Kindle sale soon because I've recently become accustomed to holding off on trades.

It sounds like there was a hike a few weeks ago, and then followed by another hike. I usually wait for sales and haven't bought a new trade since the 99 cent deal ended. They do have a 50% off code right now that stacks, so that's something, but I'm hoping for something big for Comicon.

I'm starting to think that after the retailer complaints about the 99 cent new release trades a couple months ago that we'll never see those Kindle discounts again.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I got a $15 off a $30 email from Comixology. It seems to be a unique code.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I got one too. Expires 6/28.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I received one as well. I keep a wish list full of independent titles that never go on sale for just this type of coupon.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
If others were like me and hadn't redeemed the Comixology code yet, it expires today.

Another 50% off discount on Comixiology for Dark Horse, DH50 code, stacks with Dark Horse's current 'Other Worlds' sale.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
There are a few 'time limited' Comixology bundles on steeper discounts at $9.99. Also a few single item discounts that seem buried in the bundle page.

Is The Crow only available digitally though Kindle? Never seen it in Comixology and Kindle has it almost as expensive as the HC book

You mean the original series right? There have been dozens of Crow series, many on Comixology, but not the original. In fact, it looks like nothing from Kitchen Sink has been digitized. Rights issues maybe?
