Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

That would make more sense. This is 141, the first I ever read

Very iconic issue.

Still reading, but having to take days off because of the headaches. I am, however, simply amazed at how much I am loving this.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

Headaches have been under control, and I am reading 12 or so a day. This is freaking awesome. I've been going off of this site's chonology http://borkweb.com/story/marvel-civi...eading-order_1

Their site is down right now (Marvel's) and that seems to happen more often that I would like. Hopefully it means they are getting many new subscribers and will get many more comics online.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

I'm through Civil War now. Read all the comics from every title, though it seems to have a bit of an abrupt end to it. I'd like to see more fallout. Regarding Spiderman
Spoiler:
I hate that they reset him again. I'd have rather they let Aunt May die than split him and MJ and go back to him being such a dweeb...but I'll keep reading them.

You, and every single Spider-Man fan. There was a huge shit-storm when that first went down.

This was the guide I used for the order of comics in the Civil War. Done with it now. Anyone know of another guide to bring me to the present date (or close)? I need to keep reading and see the fallout.

More than anything, I want to see Stark take a serious hit for his shit.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

I used to love Tony Stark and I hated what Civil War turned him into.

He does eat a big heap of humble pie after Secret Invasion and during Dark Reign. But Matt Fraction redeems the character pretty well during his ongoing run on Iron Man, which I highly, highly recommend. It's probably the best main-stream Marvel book being printed now.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

I get going on Worldwar Hulk next and then see about the Secret Invasion timeline. Man, this marvel online deal is a freaking bargain for what I'd pay to read all these.

Went back over The Other now. Man, it makes it even worse. Spiderman was really getting good. New stuff going on, etc. Mystery, etc. And now we're back to the 1970s version damn near.

Anyway, just got done with World War Hulk. It was okay. Planet Hulk was much better. I expect to see some fallout from WWH on Richards, the registration act, etc. Good stuff.

On to X-men Messiah Complex.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

Don't forget Matt Fraction's Invincible Iron Man - like I said, it's awesome, and the first issue of it, continuity-wise, starts pretty soon for you with where you're at. The first issue came out summer 2008 and it's up to issue 32 right now. All of it, awesome!

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

Thanks. I found a page on wiki that has all the major events, then shows the issues. I'm going through them all. Freaking awesome. Pretty much downed the entire Messiah Complex today at work.

Also, there are really some huge changes. I expect to see more resets in the future.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

Done with Secret Invasion and all the comics that were part of it. Really love the Marvel service for this. "Dark Reign" seems to be more of a background change than a story one follows, so I don't really know what to do from here? Is there a good way to read a bunch of titles during non-universe events so that you can keep track of what to read next? Any other suggestions for next? Still gotta' do the Iron Man mentioned above. I've going to go through War of Kings and see how the Inhumans do. I enjoy them.

Re: Recommend me some Marvel storylines.

Yeah, Dark Reign is more of an overall thing that permeates most titles. Just keep up w/ the Avengers and the books that have the "Dark Reign" banner on their covers over the titles, alternating books, and you'll be fine, since outside of individual books, there's no real big thread to follow. I won't be much help after DR is over, as that's when I gave up the floppies.
