The Comics shop had a pull service I had at Big Planet Comics in the 80's and 90's had a good selection of adult comics, and were very good at policing it to keep the tykes and underagers out of there. I used to like and collect Cherry Poptart, but the later issues were quite literally all talk and not action, sex wise. there was also a series of porn star biographies which were pretty good but my all time favorite adult comic has always been Wendy Whitebread: Undercover Slut, too bad there were only two issues.

Omaha was a really classy piece of work. That was one of the rare floppies I bought regularly in that era (mid 80s- early 90s).

Doll was an interesting title- although the artist had a tendency to get a little too sentimental for the books good. I think a little more emotional distance would have been to it's benefit.

I loved that also. One of my favorite things about it was the art, which it had in common with another of my favorite non-adult comics - "Megaton Man". There was a while there that I would try and track down anything that Don Simpson drew.

I read the first few chapters in Taboo when I was in my early 20's. I wasn't impressed with it at the time, expecting porn and not erotica. Finally bought a copy of the finished book this week during the Top Shelf sale. Looking forward to checking it out.

I'll second XXXenophile. Phil Foglio's stuff was always funny and, although not X rated, his Girl Genius comic is clearly for adults.

Not sure if it quite counts, but I ran across an odd TPB by Frank Thorne called Ghita of Alizarr, sort of a Red Sonja clone without the two-sided tape. It was an OK read and I might pick up the second one if my LCS still has it next time.

The Mangerotica titles by Eros were great. Also, Sapphire and Climaxxx from Aircel and the Elementals Sex Specials (spun off of the non-adult comic). I also agree with everyone fully on Ironwood, Xxxenophile and Cherry Poptart. Another one that was a fun reads though not really great art-wise was No-no UFO. Oh almost forgot, Amanda Conner's The Pro and anything Milo Manara are my absolute faves!

Vol. 2 was still there last time I went, but I didn't buy it. The only other thing I was getting at the time was a Witchblade TPB and I thought the combination would have looked really lame.
