Writing A Graphic Novel/Comic Book?

So i've been thinking lately about a new writing project. A comic book/ Graphic Novel is something I've been considering doing. Does anyone have a guide on how to start one in the correct format? Does it get written like a screenplay? I wouldn't be drawing the comic. Just describing the panels/ dialogue bubbles/ thought bubbles. Any good books or web sites i should pick up you guys can recommend for a first time comic writer?

Thanks in advance.

Here's how they format it. As you can see, different writers have slightly different format styles. I would say just pick a guy like Bendis and follow his format and structure.

Thanks for the link. That came as a surprise that different writers use different styles. I thought it was gonna be like television and film scripts where there's only one format.
