There were two bad answers submitted. One was Fantastic Four, submitted by ivelostr2. He realized his mistake in time and changed his answer.
The other bad answer?

Here's an issue of Captain America that Jack Kirby worked on without Stan Lee. However, ten years earlier, during the heyday of the Silver Age, Kirby had worked on Captain America with Stan Lee.
Still, a match is a match, and 4 people matched:
Nogura (-4 points)
orangecrush (-3 points)
Rockmjd23 (-4 points)
fumanstan (-1 points)
Points (with Google penalties applied) as indicated. And kudos to those of you who Googled up Captain America without getting hip to the fact that Lee and Kirby worked on it together.

EDIT: I guess it'd be a "wrong" answer
The first game I threw up some Hail Marys while refusing to google, which hurt me in the long run. Not sure how my current strategy is working, because if I can figure out at least one bad but correct answer on my own I'm using it. But it might be worth the penalties to score higher. If I end up finishing second to last again, it'll be no harm, no foul.

I'm interested to see what happens on #22. Could be a big swing question.

Wow - I thought Dazzler would be a great answer & Dream would be a terrible one...
My hope was that "original run" on the X-Men question would confuse people & make them go to the early issues. Who remembers Dazzler!? I almost went with Jubilee, but couldn't remember if she was actually a member of the team when Claremont was still writing. If I'd said Ariel or Sprite, would it count as Shadowcat or be unique?
S: Name a real person who has appeared in a comic book.

I thought of that Letterman cover, considered Stan Lee, Muhammad Ali, & Mother Teresa, but really thought it would be between Obama & Colbert. Hitler's a great answer I didn't think of.
R: Over the years, DC has published many stories featuring characters originally published by other companies. Name one of those companies
I knew this was a gamble. I figured real comic fans would pick Fawcett or Charlton & sheep addicts would pick Marvel.

I'm flattered by your words (Charlton was mine, just because I've been reading Shazam), but I admit Marvel didn't ever occur to me, and I bought some of those HUGE crossover issues.

We had two unique answers. One was (I believe) incorrect.

As far as I can tell, Polaris was never a member of Claremont's X-Men. She featured prominently in a number of stories (begining with her possession by Malice and continuing through the Muir Island Saga), but never actually joined the team. This will be worth 4 points more than the most popular answer.

It can even be seen in this image

It is also supported by the wikipedia entry here.

It's also why if ever asked during reverse sheep to name a field leader or leader of the x-men I would always go with Forge.

Well glad to see I'm bringing up the rear. This is the first chance I've had to catch up on the results.
By the way sorry about not responding to your PM Jason, I was away camping for a few days, I was back in time that I could have answered it but kind of just ignored it. Stupid me, oh well. I know better now if this goes around again.

It would count as Shadowcat. I actually lumped together the "Shadowcat" and "Kitty Pride" answers, since it's the same character.
I do remember that storyline (it was in the most recent Essential X-Men, which I just read a few months ago), but I would not consider the team that fought off the Reaver invasion of Muir Island to be X-Men. They were a bunch of the X-Men's friends and allies. Indeed, if you look at the wiki page you linked to, the first section is called "Official teams," while the second -- the one that includes this Muir Island team -- is called "X-Men substitute teams."
That said, I recognize the X-Men weren't like the Avengers or the Justice League where there is an official swearing-in ceremony. So it is somewhat fast and loose. What do others think -- does Polaris count?
I've got no horse in the race but had to correct this mistake. The Muir Island X-men of the late 250s are X-men during Chris Claremont's original run and Polaris was DEFINITELY a member. Granted it was super strong polaris not magnetic polaris but Polaris nonetheless.

I would have counted Delight and Delerium as the same. They were one Endless. Fortunately, nobody put me in that predicament.

OK. I've given fumanstan points for Polaris. This also had the effect of taking 5 points away from Rockmjd23, since he went from being the only unique on that question to one of two uniques. Sorry, Rockmjd!
And because I'm feeling generous (and because he needs all the help he can get) I've decided to allow orangecrush to keep his Panya points. This has been reflected in the scores all along. That means our current standings are:
1 fujishig -92
2 foggy -91
3 The Bus -90
4 JasonF -71
5 Lokimok -70
6 Mboyd -62
6 CaptainMarvel -68

20 orangecrush -27
21 Nick Danger -23
22 Rockmjd23 -20

25 hitman tommy 3
And with that, we are ready to resume!
