Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

Wow, that actually made a big difference...

And I say that World War ??? shouldn't be counted as Civil War. If unsure of the name, he would've used Google, which would still have allowed Shazam's win, but penalized Bus a point.

You people are all trouble-makers!

So the official result is that Captain Marvel won and maybe Hokeyboy tied him and maybe not depending on whether you people can get your acts together enough to figure out whether "World War (the HUGE recent one, forget the name since I don't collect anymore)" means "Civil War" or "World War Hulk."

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

The last page got a little confusing, but all-in-all (and despite me being in the bottom!) it was a fun game! I need to not over (or maybe under) think these next time!

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

For my thoughts on the debate, I wouldn't have thought "World War" whatever should count for "Civil War" either. You could have used Google, and the two aren't remotely close.

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

The first thing I thought of when I saw that answer was World War III (the Black Adam one) which I thought was odd, since it wasn't that big of a crossover...

In any case, thanks for the fun, JasonF. Hopefully I'll do better next time. And hopefully "Sandman" is never an answer for a question again...

Thanks for running this JasonF. It was fun, even if my knowledge of comics is pretty basic.

I guess I should have taken the penalty but I had resolved not to Google. Considering the peak of my knowledge is Silver Age, I was probably lucky not to come in dead last. Still, thanks for the fun game.

This was alot of fun and I did much better than I did over at the Movie Sheep. Congrats to Captain Marvel and/or Hokeyboy.

Thanks JasonF for putting it together.

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

Thanks to everyone who played. I'm pretty busy at work for the next few weeks, but I will try to do another round in mid-to-late July. If anyone wants to pick up the ball in the meanwhile feel free, or we can all amuse ourselves with any of the 23 other Sheep games going on in DVDTalk right now.

Wait, for once we can use google and I don't even use it this time...oops I said too much.

Congrats to CaptainMarvel for winning. As a fellow sheep/reverse sheep winner, you get special perks around here. You're allowed to make personal attacks whenever you want..and you can discuss bootlegs. Also you'll get more women because girls are definitely attracted to nerdiness...

Fun game! I should have gone with McFarlane. I just couldn't remember if it was McFarland or not . . .

I just got home to see the results. <temples fingers together a la Mr. Burns> Exxxxxcellent.

Awesome game JasonF! I'm eagerly looking forward to the next round. I'll stop selling people your last name from when it was in your username.

You should have gone with it -- I didn't deduct points for spelling.

Re: Comic Book Sheep is here!

That was fun and you did a great job herding, JasonF. Kind of a disappointing placement to show for 30+ years of comics reading, but since this was my first sheep game, my tactics were off.

If there is a reverse sheep game on the Comic Book board, it has to be called a Bizarro Sheep game.

I had the same problem. I think we probably overthought things. I mean, for the Legionnaire question, I went with Wildfire who was an extraordinarily popular Legionnaire ... 25 years ago. How many people around here remember him now? Or Eclipse Comics? I'm a victim of my own knowledge of obscure trivia.

Good call! The next one will be a mix of Regular Sheep and Bizarro Sheep.

My mistake was figuring the hotness of Saturn Girl would be more popular. What's with the Mattereater Lad!

Why not pick Phantom Girl then?
