World War Hulk has begun!!

so far I have read the following WWH books:

World War Hulk: Prologue
Incredible Hulk #106
World War Hulk #1
Incredible Hulk #107 -- i subscribe to IH, I got this baby 4 days before it releases in the store

So far I am really digging it since I friggin loved Planet Hulk. I don't plan to buy EVERYTHING with WWH attached to it -- just the main books and my subscription. World War Hulk #1 was cool -- it took no time for the @$$ kicking to begin.

what does everyone else think?

There's a number of comments already in the "Let's talk about what comics you're reading in June, 2007" thread, found here: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....5&page=1&pp=25 , but I think a separate thread for WWH is a fine idea.

Enjoyed the first issue of WWH and, like you, won't be grabbing every title it touches. I'll get the main story titles but any crossovers into things I don't usually get won't be got.

Big hulk fan here, but I will only be picking up the Incredible hulk and World war hulk issues. Can't justify it, I hate these huge crossovers. Maybe buy a hardcover though.

The space ship that was used to send Hulk away from Earth explodes, killing millions of the people Hulk had fought for and eventually found happiness with - including his new, pregnant wife. Hulk returns to Earth to kick more ass than Hulk has kicked before. Hulk smash puny humans.

The only thing I didn't pick up was Iron Man and that was due to money reasons. Might pick it up next month when the money is ok again. But, so far, everything but Ghost Rider was good. GR was extremely subpar and was just the movie made in to the comic (in my opinion).... which, sucked. Of course, next month's issue will be picked up to see the fight between Hulk and GR but I would have been happy not reading it.

*edit*

Oops. I didn't pick up Heroes for Hire which falls under the "not enough money" category. X-men starts this month/next month and that's a solid 4 issues a month.... rather spend money on those than some thing I haven't followed.

Have the tie-ins felt important so far? I'm definitely only reading the main book, but I'm curious how well the crossover is being executed.

The Incredible Hulk tie-ins are good for the backstory involving Amadeus Cho and what he's been doing preparing for Hulk's return.

The Iron Man tie-in gives us Iron Man's view of what happened in WWH #1.

Haven't hit my LCS today so I don't know how Front Line or X-Men are.

I caught up with Front Line and X-men today. Liked Front Line for the "average person" point of view, but X-men seemed a bit drawn out.

Overall, enjoying how it's started out - hopeful for a good payoff.

So far I've liked everything but WWH Frontline. The art in front line is horrible and I hate how they draw Ben Urich like a shriveled up old man.

The WWH X-Men was pretty cool as well. Still, I wish there was a timeline to show how he's fighting Hercules, Xavier, Iron Man and others all at the same time.

This is a very cool conept and I'll be following it in all titles all the way.

I flipped through X-men. It is drawn out till the last few pages.

Spoiler:
After the obligatory fight, Xavier scans Hulk, and him and the team see what Hulk went through in Planet Hulk. Hulk knows that Xavier wasn't there for the vote, but ask if he was, how would he have voted. Cliffhanger

Yeah, but I enjoyed the quick fight with the new X-Men and loved what Hulk did to Santos arms. I also like what happened when Xavier tried to attack the Hulk.

Did anyone read Wizard last week and what they thought would happen if (and when) the Hulk wins the war?
