DC Comics Countdown Discussion - with previews
The Countdown has begun, and Darkseid says start the discussion!
So of course the series begins May 9th, and is weekly like 52. Being a DC geek, I am hyped for this one, since it after 52, has the big guns, and features Darkseid as the Big Bad. If you have seen the final issue of Firestorm you know how bad Darkseid can be.
Spoiler:
The Comic Book page at Myspace is currently showing a 10 page preview of issue 51 of Countdown

The funny thing is although I kept up with 52, many OYL titles, and WWIII the first time I heard about Countdown was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Is this the one that's counting backwards?
I guess I don't follow this shit as religiously as the rest of you.

he got untrapped, then trapped on the wall in Superman/Batman, then untrapped again.
Morrison's Seven Soldiers: Mr Miracle run showed a 'different' version of "dark side" and the New Gods, and I wonder if they'll explain that or just throw it away.

First issue (well, 51st issue) and we've already jumped into a multiverse story. With all the anticipation that was built up in 52, it's nice to see Countdown diving right into the action.

I thought the first issue of Countdown was pretty crappy. Not sure I am into this one for the full year...especially with the 2.99 cover price....If Marvel is getting ready to do a weekly book they better have a decent price for it, I have had it with 2.99 books that suck...

I thought everyone was complaining because the Batman KK fight wasn't seen in JLA? And now its shown...cant win, lol. I liked it, since it shows the Countdown is running concurrent with DCU, as advertised.
