Marvel Zombies...
I am surprised I cant find any thread here on Marvel Zombies yet, I thought people were really going nuts for this series. I was just curious as to what people here think about it.
personally I think its a really cool concept and its a pretty good read but the artwork is just horrendous. I like the idea of paying homage to past classic Marvel covers, but the art just doesnt work for me. Black Panther #29 is especially bad, like wow, and some of the interior art is just a blob of ink with 2 eyes on it. I understand its a style and im just obviously not into this style, but do people really truly like it?

There is a thread. It just predates comic book talk: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....hlight=zombies
I bought the trade paperback and the ultimate fantistic 4 that started the story after reading that thread. I thought it was pretty goofy but entertaining.

I read the UFF comics and followed the Zombies mini, and I enjoyed them. If you take into consideration that the book is about as cheesy as a Romero zombie flick, then you'll enjoy it. I read that Sean is doing another Zombies series for Marvel - is this true? And if so, when can we expect it?

The hardcover is awesome! It's great to have the collected work *and* all the new covers for the additional printings they had to do for the single issues.
I think the interior art was very good and the Arthur Sudyam covers are just amazing!

I really like the series. It's just good fun.
I've yet to pick up the Army of Darkness crossover though.

I am reading the hardcover now and love it. I find myself laughing out loud a lot which I never do when reading comics (granted I don't really read a lot of comics though). Very funny stuff.
How was the Army of Darkness crossover? I was thinking about picking it up since I am enjoying this series so much. I do agree that they should have put the FF issues that corresponded. I have the FF DVD-rom but I don't think they put the Ultimate series on it. What issues #s were they?
Is there a complete listing of everything that has been released to go along with this "universe?" This thread is the first time I have heard about "Dead Days" as well.

I enjoyed the Army of Darkness one. An awesome yet quick teamup with Ash and The Punisher. It takes place before Marvel Zombies, just as people are being infected. There is another HC coming soon with all the FF prequel stuff.

Ultimate FF #21-23
Marvel Zombies miniseries
Ultimate FF #30-32
Marvel Zombies vs. the Army of Darkness miniseries
Marvel Zombies: Dead Days
Black Panther #28-30 (#27 is really just a page or so; I see #31 listed on some guides, but I don't think there's any meaningful zombie content in there either)
Marvel Zombies 2 miniseries
I'd recommend everything through Dead Days and the AoD crossover. The Black Panther run and Marvel Zombies 2 really aren't worth reading unless you're a completist.

I'll pick up the MZ2 hardcover when it comes out. I liked the first one pretty well, though I agree with a couple other posters who said they hated the art. The art's barely acceptable, and really is detrimental to the story, IMNSHO. In fact, without Arthur Suydams' awesome covers, I probably would've just skipped it.
