Strikeforce: Morituri

I haven't collected or read comics in ages, but just about the time I stopped there was a comic called "Strikeforce: Morituri" from Marvel, that had a fantastic concept... I got the 1st 12 or 13 issues, then stopped collecting comics all together. Did this title ever go anywhere? Live up to the potential? To this day I thought it'd make an excellent television show... and if the leads ever got greedy and want too much money... poof.... get someone else...

It started out good, but then it sort of faded out, the stories did not stay really good, and they started breaking the concept and letting characters live a little longer, if I remember correctly. I think I still have a set of the series.

I enjoyed Strikeforce Morituri as well, and may own all the issues. But yes, if I recall it lost steam after the first year or so.

Seeing the plot points in print also show how ridiculous some of that latter stuff was. The "good" aliens resolve the first plot, but their nefarious plan is to have everyone spontaneously combust to "gather the psychic energies unleashed?" Really?
