Postcards: True Stories That Never Happened
It's officially up for pre-order. Postcards: True Stories That Never Happened, the anthology that I co-edited that features my first published short story, hits shelves on June 26. This will be the second "graphic novel" published by Random House's Villard imprint.
Here's a link to the official web site that features a little more information.

For anyone interested, Postcards is being solicited in tomorrow's Previews catalog.
And if anyone is even more interested, I'm about 13 of 20 creators into putting out my own collection. It's pretty much all I do with my free time these days, but once I'm ready to announce names and information on the project, DVDtalk will be the first to know. (Well, maybe the second.)

Will look for it when I get my Previews.

We're starting to run daily conversations with some of the creators behind the book over at the Newsarama Blog. Check 'em out.

Got an advance copy of Postcards at the store today from Random House.
Nice anthology and I very much enjoyed Cora’s Dress.

The inside looks great!! I've read through a couple of the stories and really enjoyed them, especially Taken on Faith.

Awesome. Taken on Faith is a great story and fits nicely with the other stories. I think Jason did a fantastic job of putting them all together to form a nice, cohesive whole.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the rest of the stories once you've read them. I can't wait to hold this book in my hands.

I'm doing my very first interview, and it's a podcast no less. Cindy Center, an online interview show, is featuring several of us from Postcards in an upcoming podcast. Go post some questions about the anthology (if you're interested) and we'll see if your question gets answered on the air. We're recording the podcast on Monday night, so if you have questions, post 'em soon.

DVD Talk Reviewer Emeritus
Just found this review of Postcards at AICN. Extremely good words for James Powell's story! Nice job, James (bishop2knight)!
"There are quite a few heartbreakers in this book, but none compare to the story of a little tomboy who is dead set against wearing her dress despite how much her mother wants to see her in it. The story sounds innocent and downright bland, but the last few panels were a gut punch to me and I challenge anyone not to be affected by how this story by James W. Powell ends."
The whole review!

For those looking for this book, it's been bumped back to July 24, just in time for the San Diego Comic-Con. For those attending said con, we'll have a few signings set up.
More info as I get it.

Postcards is in bookstores today, so go check it out and see if it's something you'd be interested in (I know there are a lot of superhero fans here, so I won't pretend that everyone's gonna like the book).
And if you're at the con, you'll find me (and a whole mess of other Postcards creators) at the Comic Relief Booth (#1514-1523) on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. There's an earlier signing at the same booth on Friday from 5-6, but I'm not scheduled to be there (although I'll probably be there anyway).
