Gotham Central/Batman Backstory ?

I've never followed Batman *that* closely, but I love Gotham Central (I'm on #8 now). However, they refer to Harvey Bullock (who I'm familiar with from the animated series) and how I.A.D. got him. Can anyone fill me in w/ the specifics of what happened?

Actually, found the text solictation for Gotham Central #19, which seems to answer the question:

Spoiler:
Gotham Central #19 (DC Comics) - Resigned and disgraced maverick cop, Harvey Bullock, returns, and I suspect his roughneck personality will bring some good dramatic tension to the book. Last readers knew, he'd resigned as a Gotham Cop after Internal Affairs discovered he'd arranged for some mob boys to "take care" (in the Goodfellas sense of the phrase) of the man who shot Commissioner Gordon. In this new arc, investigations of a "cold case" somehow bring him back into the picture.

I noticed Rucka is writing the next couple of issues. I'm a huge Brubaker fan, but I'm interested to see what Rucka does with the title. Haven't they alternated since the beginning?

That's off topic though....sorry.

Yeah, they alternate story arcs. I think each writer has their own set of cops that they write stories for. One of the things I liked about Rucka's Detective run was how he spent time on characters like Montoya, so I was pretty happy when he & Brubaker started this title. To me, this & Catwoman were the Bat-titles to read when everyone was going nuts over "Hush".
