I'm a comic book writer!!!

Yep, I wrote the darn thing in April 2000, and rewrote it in August 2001, but it looks like it will finally be published next month.

Everyone get in line - tell your comic dealer you want a copy of Akiko #50 !!!!!!!!

(And Seeker's name is : Dan T. Davis)

http://www.slushfactory.com/content/...EVQPrZTiJl.php (thanks to BJacks!)

http://www.silverbulletcomicbooks.co...8485471687.htm

For those who don't want to link, here's what I'm referring to:

Also, as an added bonus to the anniversary celebration, Mark Crilley
has invited a talented trio of fans to contribute a 13-page back-up
story, entitled `An Evening on the Moonguzzit Sea.' "This is no mere
exercise in fan fiction, though. These three guys, Matthew and Michael
Armstrong, and Dan T. Davis, have created a polished, professional
piece of work that is really an honor to share with AKIKO readers
everywhere."

Well, I'm excited!!!!

The Armstrong's are the artists, and they're talented, too.

I'm having Matthew do the book covers for my books I'm publishing this year.

hey Seeker, I don't know you but as a long lasting member of this great forum congratulations. And I am a comic book retailer. I wish more comics would do what Akiko did, that's a great idea. Unfortunately we do not have 1 subscriber for Akiko, but when that issue is solicited in previews I will make sure we order more than usual.

Thats great Dan. You told me about it and swore me to secrecy at the orlando meet. I'm glad it finally came to fruition

but, the one I posted originally was the one Mark Crilley sent me.

Thanks for publishing the article on your site in January!

That's rather sad. It's such a cool comic, great for all ages.

Congrats to Seeker!!

Thanks everyone.

Looks like Akiko #50 will ship either April 23 or April 30. Maybe May 7.

Hopefully before May 7, because my comic book dealer asked me to sign copies (he ordered 60) at his store during free comic book day on May 3.

Bjacks got Evan Cantrell to write this up about Akiko 50 and the writing process for the slushfactory website.

It's getting close.

Delayed till second or third week of May.

It's hard (for me) to wait.... sigh.

Sigh.

June 4, now...

(crosses fingers)

I hate this. At least the delays are getting shorter.

Thanks!

I finally got my copy from the printers today, so that means it will probably be in comic stores about June 11!

Thanks - and I'm told that some comic stores already have it for sale... some probably still next week, but some now.

For those actually getting it, I'd love to know what you end up thinking about the comic.

This is what I aspire to and it's TOTALLY inspiring! I'll be picking this up next weekend on my bi monthly trip to Berkeley.
