This Week's Comics (12/19-12/25)
Big week for me.
The Truth: Red, White, and Black #2 - Still undecided about this one. How many issues is this going to be?
Ultimate Spider-Man #33 - Okay, Bendis. You may not like Venom, but I do. Don't screw it up.
Y-The Last Man #6 - Getting better each issue.
Lucifer #33 - Still trying to catch up on back issues before I read this.
Stray Bullets #28 - I'd complain about it being late, but I feel like that's niticking when a book is this good.
The Incredible Hulk #46 - I know that there have been some complaints, but I really like Stuart Immonen's art work here. I think that it's a perfect match for this storyline.
Rising Stars #21 - The story's still great. The art's still pedestrian.
JSA #43 - Good to see Metamorpho back...even if time traveling had to be involved.
I'm to beat from work to think of a Question of the Week. If anyone else has an idea, feel free to post it.
And be sure to post next week when I start a separate thread for the best comics of 2002.

Barring an 11th hour miracle, the best comic of 2002 was:
Forlorn Funnies
Issues 1, 2
The New Year is fast approaching and I'd hate to see a bunch of thread regulars embarrass themselves by talking up issue 608 of Batman, or something, without having read Forlorn Funnies by Paul Hornschemeier. I have absolutely no connection with this guy, but I loved the books so much I'm willing to personally guarantee them. If you click on the link above, buy and read issues 1 & 2 and somehow don't enjoy them enough to keep them, I'll buy them from you. I'll pay $10.40, plus an additional $2.50 to get you to mail them to me. So, you'd even make a small profit, I think. We can handle the transaction through eBay, for your security (I have a 90 feedback rating with no negatives). This offer is limited to one per household, of course.
I'm genuinely hoping people take me up on the offer. Email me if you require further detail.

Spider-Man: Blue #5 - FINALLY. Nice delay, Marvel. Anyway, fun MJ/Gwen interaction...otherwise, just average, I guess. I still like Sale.
Truth #2 - This is a 6 issue series, Gamblor... like Origin was. Creepy issue. I'm always up for a good military conspiracy, so this worked for me. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series a lot more now than I was after #1. That little Porky Pig Corporal was funny.
Stormwatch: Team Achilles #6 - Russia learns the hard way that you DO NOT F WITH STORMWATCH. This is a great book. This ends the Authority arc, I guess.
Black Panther #52 - Very cool. This new artist, Jorge Lucas, is really working for me. Now that the groundwork for "Black and White" has been provided, I think we're about to start rocking and rolling.
Rex Mundi #1 - This is a cool mystery, set in 1933, Paris. A mixture of religion and occultism is the theme, with the main character being a physician. Very nice, sharp art, and a well-written script so far. I've been eager for #1 for some months now, as #0 came out quite a while ago. Check it out if you like suspense/horror. Not a lighthearted book.
Transformers: War Within #3 - The plot thickens... still pretty good if you dig those stories where you get to see the TFs before they left Cybertron.
Superman: Day of Doom #4 - The end of this was a letdown to me. Still looks nice if you like Sienkiewicz. Meh.
Still to read: Point Blank #5
