Allred's X-Force
I'm a huge Mike Allred fan. Mike lives here in Oregon (which isn't really a factor but is really cool) and has penned some of the most interesting independent comics to hit the market in many years. Feeders, Red Rocket 7 and Mad Man are all fantastic as is The Atomics.
These days Allred is doing X-Force for Marvel. In fact, that's just about all he's doing (the only other major project is Spaceman for his own company AAA Pop Comics). I think his work in X-Force is fantastic. It just gets better and better with each issue. His most recent art work really reminds me of Jack Kirby's best.
So, anyone else an Allred fan??

I read the first X-Force tpb when it first came out and thought it was amazing stuff. Much better than the Angst-Force it used to be. I can't wait for a second tpb.

If you two liked those trade collections you really should look into Red Rocket 7. Mike Allred did the art and wrote the amazingly trippy story. Well worth a read and better than 90% of the junk coming out of Marvel and DC these days (though I guess that's not really saying much).
