I put it on my Want to Read list!
Currently reading a ton for school, so going slowly on Sherlock Vol I
But also just started

Bayocean: Atlantis of Oregon. - about the dumbass idea to build a resort town on a spit during the early 20th century, when the pioneer spirit overcame all common sense.

I just finished: The Hallmarked Man by Robert Galbraith
Another great book in this series. I hate the author, but I absolutely love the characters and writing.
I'm on to Project Hail Mary next. I'm about halfway through and I hope to finish it so I can watch the movie soon.

While listening to the audiobook of The Buffalo Hunter Hunter I've been catching up with some short story collections (I didn't trust my brain to keep straight 2 novels at the same time). Finished:

Not a Speck of Light by Laird Barron. I never read his previous collection Swift to Chase, which in retrospect was a mistake (since many of these stories are in the same "universe" with some being direct sequels, leaving me feeling I was missing something). His writing seems funnier than his older Lovecraftian stories, though these still touch on cosmic horror. Many of his stories are vague or end just when it feels like they're getting starting ... more vibes than narrative (although there are still some bangers here).

The Wishing Pool and Other Stories by Tananarive Due. I've read a number of her novels but this is the first collection. It didn't disappoint, living up to the high standards I expected. I could've done without all of the pandemic dystopias though (have no interest in reading anything with that theme again).
