I finished "Trapped - The 1909 Cherry Mine Disaster" by Karen Tintori.
My great great grandfather is in the book. He was one of the 20 coal miners stuck in the mine (which was on fire) for a week. He was rescued and then died 2 days later.

Bacigalupi's short stories are the stuff of nightmares. Disturbingly, the real world has been getting closer to these dystopias over the last 10-15 years (since these stories were written).

I loved Bluff. It is the first book by Michael Kardos that I have read. It won't be the last.

An interesting twist on the well-worn serial killer thriller genre. I see it's been picked up for development by Leonardo DiCaprio's production company. But that was 5 years ago ... I wonder what's happened? The story seemed like one that would translate nicely to a movie, and has a concept (tracking a serial killer who jumps through time) that sounds like it should grab attention.

I wanted to knock out the Odyssey "quadrilogy" and finished 2001 in a day and I'm almost finished with 2010. 2061 and 3001 will be done within the next few days.

My time for reading will be erratic over the next few weeks, so I figured it would be a good time to tackle some short story collections.
