It's refreshing to have a fantasy book that's not a doorstop! Though this may have benefited from a bit more detail, especially given how rushed the young romance and ending seemed to me.

I got “The Neverending Story” by Michael Ende in the mail today, so will probably start it tonight.

Side note: my phone tried to autocorrect “neverending” to “never erect.”

I'll read the last book of this trilogy, but I think I'm done with the series after that. This book really suffers from being the middle part of a trilogy ... most of it feels like just setting up the last book. And the author continued the annoying (to me at least) style of skimming past critical story events, after spending pages and pages on setting things up.
