The Martian
Reading on Kindle android app while listening to the audiobook (immersion reading). I liked immersion reading more than I thought I would. Good book, great audiobook performance.

Finished Bird Box by Josh Malerman, which was excellent.
Started Ex-Heroes by Peter Clines, which puts comic book-style superheroes in a zombie apocalypse setting. So far so good. I’ve enjoyed everything else he’s written so far.

Anybody reading the Stormlight Archive series? Book three comes out next week and planning on jumping right in if I can finish the Lies of Locke Lamora by next week.

Back after taking a month off from reading to make 100 for the October Horror Challenge. Finished:

Barron's subtle and literary style isn't going to be for everyone. But I think it's safe to say that he should be right up the alley of HPL fans.
Next I'm on to tackle Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series (I've never read anything of his before).

I've owned the series for almost 41 years and read only the first three books. Figured it's about time I read the complete set (in publishing order).

Not sure why it took so long for me to read this, but I'm glad I finally did. I like how, despite being the first book in a series, it was fairly self-contained. An epic story was nicely wrapped up, while leaving many avenues open for later books.

I’m reading this. If you’re like me and can’t really remember the earlier books, there’s a decent synopsis at Tor.
