It's only OK. Not as good as the blurb suggests. I had read it years ago and had mostly forgotten it. Re-read it a few weeks ago and realized it's because it's pretty forgettable. Not bad by any stretch, and it's a fairly quick read, but not worth going out of your way for.

Just started Red Rising book 2 (Golden Son) by Pierce Brown. Next up will be The Fireman by Joe Hill.

Very quick entertaining read. I have high hopes that the author doesn't stay so indebted to the Hunger Games formula for the rest of the trilogy and does his own thing (since there are a lot of different ways the story can go from here).
They work the same as they always have (for me at least). Just bracket the link of your image with (which one of the tool icons will do automatically for you).

Even though the first book is pretty good, I found the trilogy actually improves significantly as it moves forward. I think the second book is the best book, the third book is the second best. Only the first book is influenced by The Hunger Games, IMO. Also, I think it's a lot better than the Hunger Games.

My Sunshine Away by M.O. Walsh
My favorite genre is coming of age stories and this is a very good one. It reminds me somewhat of To Kill A Mockingbird.

Right on to the third book of the series. After seeing a lot of Hunger Games and Ender's Game in the 1st book, I'm seeing more of a Game of Thrones influence in the 2nd. And that's a good thing.
