I don't read a lot of books but I was a big fan of the original trilogy, so i'm curious how this will be with a different author continuing the story. Cautiously optimistic.

Didn't Larsson have outlines for more novels?

The supposed plan was 10. And he skipped the fourth and his widow found quite abit of the fifth on his computer after his passing.
But the truth is Stieg was a terrible writer. Terrible. The first two books in the Millennium trilogy have great stories but truly horrendous writing. The glorification of journalism and the non-stop bits about eating and coffee were unbearable. So I guess I'm good with a more competent writer finishing it out.

Reminds me I still need to read the 3rd installment.
I nearly forgot about the odd fascination with snack foods and coffee, but in hindsight remember it well.

Loved the three books. Actually bought the second and third release from the UK, where they were released earlier than in North America. I'd like to know more about who actually wrote this book and how much came from Larsson. On a side note, I've read some of the new sanctioned Sherlock Holmes books, and while the second one was pretty good, I thought that the first one was excellent. Hoping for the same with this continuation...
