Still working away at The Count of Monte Cristo. I'm about 850 pages along. It's a great book.

I got The Great Train Robbery by Michael Crichton for Christmas, and I read that. Fun.

This took quite a while to get in to but it turned out for me to be a really good book. Will be reading part 2 later in the year.

Read:

I've read the first two of the three book series Southern Reach by Jeff Vandermeer and have been very disappointed. I might go back and read the last one just to complete the series, but I'm in no rush.

Probably next up for me:

I don't recall what originally turned me on to purchasing the book but today I bought Tony Ballantyne's "Dream London" along with me to while away this afternoon's commute.

Currently working my way through the Odd Thomas series. Finished the first five and circled back around to read Interlude for the time being.

Re: What Are You Reading? (January 2015)

I'm reading this because it was free and I like to read all the Hugo and Nebula winners (or at least give them a shot). I'm about halfway. I don't really care for it much at all, but luckily it's pretty short (a bit over 100 pages) so I'll finish it.

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas.
What a great book! It's thoughtful, the action never stops, and all the characters are interesting.

Started

The Unteleported Man by Philip K Dick.

Re: What Are You Reading? (January 2015)

Hello! I am not really familiar with books about snakes before, but since I have browsed related to that thing, I have been interested to researched about it. Anyway, I just started to read books about the basic biology of pit vipers by Jonathan A. Campbell as one of the authors. It is very educational for me. It consists of published scientific papers documenting about aspects of pit vipers. You may want to try reading similar to this too
