I bought that actually. I questioned if it was legit at first... Who sold it? Pottermore or something? Is that Rowling's company?

Yeah, I was a little worried at first too, but did some googling and it is legit. Pottermore is a company that initially was the only place to buy HP ebooks and other merchandise, but they've gradually been releasing them into the open wild, and Pottermore as a webportal is apparently dying.

Thanks! Free is fine when I'm just trying to get readers and feedback--not planning on quitting the day job just yet. :)

The whole process of getting it out there was pretty interesting. Many, many hours of work---but surprisingly (at least to me), there were virtually no upfront costs.

I'm clueless as to the promotion/business side, so I'm just learning as I go.

^ I visit an ebook-centered forum called MobileRead. I know that self promotion is frowned on in certain threads there, but perhaps not all. But I'll try to read a story early tomorrow and then promote your book in their fairly active bargain sci-fi section.

I don't know much about it either but I see you are listed on Goodreads... I have noticed that some reviewers there will state that they were "given a copy of the book in exchange for a fair review". I'd be inclined to give that a try and get a few more reviews up. I'm more inclined to buy a book from a new author if they have a number of favorable reviews and are priced right. Just sayin'. :)
