I grabbed them all, too. I'm not familiar with the author, but the stories sound interesting so I'll give them a try.

I was having a wave of nostalgia buying cheap copies of fantasy novels I had read as a kid, then I saw Humble Bundle has a cheap bundle of Terry Brooks’ Shannara stuff. Unfortunately it’s kobo only so I’ll pass.

Wow, all of my Amazon Kindle December "First Reads" picks are $1.99 instead of "pick one for free."
No thanks. I already got plenty of free First Picks that I never read over the years to stsrt paying for them.
Yet another membership feature quietly just gone.

Thank you. Apparently, when I clicked the book links in my email, I wasn't signed into Amazon, even though I'm signed in via the Chrome mobile browser and mobile app. Yes, the first pick is free.

The new Joe Hill book King Sorrow is $1.99 at Amazon:
It just came out in October. I don't know if that's a price mistake or not, but grab it if you want to read it.

Humble Bundle is offering some cool ebook sales. The Discworld by Terry Pratchard is available. I believe it's around 39 books for $16. Also, the Dread and Darkness bundle is offering 52 horror books for $18. I already got both, since I do most of my reading on ,y Kindle or ipad. THere are some great books in that bundle!
