Okay, this has been driving me crazy for some time because I just cannot find this book or come up with the correct title...

It's a historical timeline, I think focused on pop culture, because there are entries from the entertainment industry like Eddie Murphy's rise to stardom and John's Belushi's death.

I recall it was a softcover book with a few different pictures on the cover. One was Ronald Reagan I think, maybe Eddie Murphy as Buckwheat too. I recall buying it in the early 90s (between 1991 - 1995).

I thought it was called something like, "The Emperor Wears No Shorts" or "The Emperor Has No Pants". Does anyone in Otter know this book?

Sounds like one of a thousand coffee table books sold at Borders/Barns & Nobles/Waldens since 2000.

If the title isn't turning up on Amazon or similar sites then maybe you are misremembering it - perhaps what you have cited is a chapter heading, or whatever - in which case it needs to be discounted from any searches.

I'd be inclined to ask someone who has done something broadly similar and so who may have a knowledge of the field...
