Recommend me a book?
I want so much to read a good book right now
I start 10 books or so for every one I finish. I don't (or rather, can't) trudge through books. I always think maybe I hate reading and then I find a book I devour. Here's my Read shelf at GoodReads. Any book I finish reading is automatically 5/5 because it made it there to begin with.

I tend to like courtroom dramas, medical fiction, triathlon/running/swimming/cycling books, autobiographies.

Pretty much the only courtroom drama I've read is Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird".
The only medical fiction I can recall reading is Robin Cook's "Coma".
I've read maybe half a dozen autobiographical works of which I can recall but a few titles at the moment: various titles from Bill Bryson including "The Thunderbolt Kid" ; Tom Baker's "Who on Earth is Tom Baker"; Laurie Lee's "Cider With Rosie" and Bruce Chatwin's "The Songlines" - which is more about Australian aboriginals and something of a travelogue rather than being simply autobiographical.
I don't think I've ever read a sports book although, when studying the works of various Angry Young Men, I believe that I read the interestingly-titled "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" but that was more of a short story.
There is a good list of forensic crime fiction here and a selection of courtroom dramas here from which other Book Talkers might be able to recommend one or two from their own personal reading.
