Yesterday I finally finished Second Acts: Presidential Lives and Legacies After the White House by Mark K. Updegrove. It's a nice primer for presidential enthusiasts, and Updegrove does a fine job distilling things to an accessible level; you needn't have more than a passing interest in politics or any of these "formers" to understand the book. I found the chapters on Presidents Reagan and Bush perhaps the most touching, which really surprised me in the case of the latter. A full review is on Goodreads as well as my blog.
Not sure what's next, but I think I'm gonna take a break from prose and read some comics. I've picked up several dirt cheap at Half Price Books lately and have only peered into a few of them so far. I've promised a friend of mine I would get to the second trade paperback of Powers soon, so I'll likely start there.
