New Book Out: Jamie Lee Curtis Biography
Hey, there's a great new horror biography just out called "Jamie Lee Curtis: Scream Queen." The book covers - in painstaking detail - the making of all of her classic horror films, beginning with "Halloween" - as well as a detailed look at her life and career. Check it out. The "Halloween" chapters alone are more detailed and informative than any of the DVD stuff, in my opinion.

Yeah, but it's 500 pages and it's all about the making of these films(Halloween, The Fog, Terror Train, Prom Night, Halloween II, Roadgames)etc etc and the amount of interviews and behind the scenes detail is crazy. You know, there's never been a SE DVD of Prom Night and Terror Train so this book is really invaluable. In fact, somebody should contact this author for DVDs.

I'm definitely interested in checking it out, but no way I'd pay that much. I'll be checking the library or keeping my eyes open for a used copy.
I noticed the author is the same gentleman who did a book on the Friday the 13th series. I have that book and can recommend it.

Sounds like an interesting read. I'm a fan of her earlier work (the films covered in this book). It's a shame kids today will remember her as the chick from the Activia commercials. To me, she'll always be Mrs. Nigel Tufnel.

While I have no reason to doubt the bona fides of David Grove as a writer , it is a matter of some concern when a member signs up apparently solely to promote a product. It is against the rules if there is any connection between the member and the product.
What I have noted when looking into this, is that the person talking most about this book on IMDB has the screen name dg-7 but acknowledges no connection with the author. And, likewise, no connection is acknowledged above between our new Canadian-based member and said BC-resident author.
I'm closing this one up unless/until the admittedly circumstantial evidence of shenanigans is rebutted. We'll just have to wait and see whether shapeshifter is minded to contribute elsewhere on the forums and on other topics.
