When you finish this, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I read all 10 Amber books and enjoyed them very much. I have never read any of his other works.

I haven't read Winslow either, but heard great things with the positive buzz Savages got. I recently picked up a few of his old paperbacks at a used bookstore (including the one you read). They were out of print and hard to find for a while, but I think they were recently reissued in trade paperback.
